Hi. I am a designer and writer living and working in San Francisco. As the Head of Digital Design at Everlane I am responsible for the management and growth of the digital design team, where we believe that all good design starts with understanding our users.
We put an emphasis on the entire design process from strategic definition, to research, prototyping, execution, and analysis. We’re an extremely collaborative team and work closely with engineers and product managers as well as key stakeholders across the organization.
As a Lead Product Designer at Paperless Post I led the redesign and successful launch of our invitation product and created a new mobile-first experience for an audience of 65 million receivers a year. We focused heavily on user research to innovate rather than iterate on a six-year old product.
As a Senior Designer at General Assembly I worked on a variety of projects across mediums to evolve brand standards. Prior to that I gained experience at architecture studios specializing in high-end retail and residential work in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Cincinnati.
I am the co-founder and author of Kern and Burn: Conversations with Design Entrepreneurs. I studied Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at Miami University of Ohio and received my MFA in Graphic Design from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).
